What is a New Generation Hologram?
A New Generation Hologram is the most amazing 3D hologram you have ever seen! Liti Holographics' revolutionary New Generation Hologram System captures, processes, prints and replicates full color, high-resolution, three-dimensional images able to project off the film, with up to five seconds of animation and a 120-degree view zone at dimensions you can use in wide variety of displays and point-of-purchase applications.

How large can New Generation Hologram images be?
Currently, New Generation Hologram images can be up to 14 x 14 inches, and we are working on the technology to make New Generation Hologram images even larger.

How does the New Generation Hologram System produce animation?

The holographic stereogram is one of the most exciting developments in holography today. It allows holographers to incorporate a wide range of visual effects in the images, especially animation, hence the term ‘animated' holograms. New Generation Hologram images present approximately 5 seconds of realistic animation, appearing to move as the viewer walks past the image.

A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen is attached to a computer and cinematic, video, and still images can be scanned into a computer, manipulated and displayed electronically on the LCD screen. The picture on the LCD is the object that is recorded on the hologram. Recording a sequence of related pictures produces a three-dimensional animated image on the master hologram that can then be transferred to the transfer hologram for viewing with regular white light.

How are New Generation Hologram images different than "lenticulars"?
Lenticular images, like those offered by Kodak, are produced using very different technology than New Generation Hologram images. Lenticulars have shallow 3D depth, if any, as opposed to New Generation Hologram images, which offer 6-10 inches of 3D depth. Furthermore, because lenticulars are not true holograms, their motion is "jerky" as a series of static images "flips" past the viewer. Also, their images tend to be somewhat cartoonish, not very lifelike in their appearance. They are similar to New Generation Holograms in one respect: price. For the same cost, step up to the power of New Generation Hologram images in your next promotion. (Back to top)

Are New Generation Hologram images different than low-resolution holograms, like I see on credit cards?
Traditional holography’s murky, silvery, single-color images, like the kind used on credit cards and other low-quality applications, are dramatically different from the images produced using the New Generation Hologram system. Specifically, traditional holographic images are of comparatively low resolution, are single color, and do not contain the depth of three-dimensional detail you will see in a New Generation Hologram.

Does any other company offer high-resolution holograms, like New Generation Hologram?
While other computer-generated holograms are available, no other company offers the cutting-edge images of New Generation Hologram. The reason is simple: Other holography companies have not mastered the ability to capture lifelike images of people and smooth realistic movement, nor do they offer images with true 3D depth, "projecting off" the film 6-10 inches.

How much do New Generation Holograms cost?

New Generation Holograms are priced competitively with other media, ensuring you can afford to use this exciting new technique in your next campaign. Prices are remarkably affordable, with volume pricing even lower. Contact us today for more information.

How long does it take to produce New Generation Holograms?

New Generation Hologram dramatically cuts the time required to create holograms. Once the image information has been captured, Liti can typically produce a master hologram for approval within a week. Delivery of final holograms take several additional weeks, depending on quantity and other special requirements.

Do I need to buy any special equipment?

No special equipment is needed. We have all the equipment needed here at our studios, or at one of our special effects strategic partners. In many cases, we can produce holograms from your digital media files.

How does the New Generation Hologram System work?

Liti Holographics' revolutionary New Generation Hologram System captures, processes, prints and replicates full color, high-resolution, three-dimensional images able to project off the film, with up to five seconds of animation and a 120-degree view zone at dimensions of up to 14 x 14 inches.

Is there a big difference between photographs and holograms?

The technical difference between photographs and holograms is set forth in the Technology section. Visually, New Generation Hologram holograms and color photos (such as produced using Koday or Fuji film) are similar in quality, resolution, color and contrast. However, they are visually different in two important ways:
  1. New Generation Hologram holograms are fully 3D and appear to "project off" the film about 6-10 inches. Photos are flat, 2D.
  2. New Generation Hologram holograms contain approximately 5 seconds of movement as you walk around the image; photos are still.
