Our Management Team
Liti Holographics' management team possesses a unique set of scientific and management skills. Paul Christie, Liti's President and Chief Technology Officer, has developed unique optical designs with practical innovations that intelligently combine high technology advances and cost-effective production techniques. Mr. Christie has contributed his proprietary designs and dedicated over three years to building the technical foundations of our company.
G. Brian Christie
Co-founder, Chairman and CEO
Mr. Christie, 55, previously served as principal, board member and general
counsel to ARV Assisted Living and led ARV's initial public offering.
He has extensive experience in the operations of high-growth companies
as a principal and Director. After completing law school and working for
the largest law firm in Austin, Texas for two years, Mr. Christie started
his own law firm, specializing in corporate, banking and real estate law.
In 1990, he moved to Newport Beach, California where he was a partner
with the firm of Good, Wildman, Hegness and Walley. In 1993, he was invited
to join ARV. In 1995, ARV successfully raised $50 million in its IPO.
As part of the executive management team, he was responsible for the overall
direction and strategy of a company with a $130 million market capitalization
and 1,300 employees.
Mr. Christie holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas.
Paul
Christie
Company founder, President and Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Christie, 32, has extensive knowledge and experience in developing
optical systems. Prior to completing graduate work in holographic &
three-dimensional display technology at MIT, one of the worlds
leading media labs, Mr. Christie was responsible for inventing several
new technologies for improving LCD projection displays for Projectavision,
Inc., one of which was patented. His Masters Degree work is also currently
being patented by MIT. He subsequently formed the predecessor company
to Liti Holographics in December of 1997. He holds a Bachelor's degree
in Applied Physics from Columbia University and a Master's degree in
Media Technology from MIT.
Mark A. Barth
Finance
Prior to joining Liti Holographics, Mr., Barth was President, CEO and
Director in the early stages of Variagenics, formed by faculty of MIT
(market capitalization of $650 million) and also served as financial
advisor in the start-up of Allied Waste Industries (valued at over $10
billion). He served as senior investment banker in several initial public
offerings and as Director on a number of emerging-growth companies.
His hands-on experience with closely held, private companies includes
successfully completing public and private offerings of debt and equity,
the sale of operating companies as a principal, the prosecution of patents,
forming strategic corporate alliances and long-range planning at the
Board level. Mr. Barth began his career at Owens / Corning and has held
senior positions with BankOne Capital Markets and Underwood, Neuhaus
& Co. He has also acted in consulting capacities with Merrill Lynch
and Matrix Capital Markets Group. Mr. Barth earned an MBA from Southern
Methodist University.
Ed
Thomas
Business Development
Ed Thomas joined Liti Holographics with a strong background in the entertainment
industry, including experience in marketing, publicity/media, and several
upper management positions. After serving in the promotions and marketing
departments of PolyGram Records (Philips) in 1990 and 1991, he joined
industry leading music management firm, The Left Bank Organization,
where he led marketing and publicity efforts of world-wide campaigns
for artists like Bee Gees, Clint Black, The Cranberries, John Mellencamp,
Blondie, and many others. Most recently, Thomas served as general manger
of the artist division. Thomas brings an expertise in cross marketing,
strategic marketing, and media development to Liti's industry leading
technologies.
